Our company saw its beginnings back in 1960 by our founder, Mr. Cosimo Mele, who came to Rome from his homeland, Salento, and started his business as a manufacturer of military friezes and gold embroidery for the ecclesiastical, military, State Railways and Passamanerie, produced in his homeland.

With the dedication and commitment recognised, over the years, Passamanerie Mele has evolved considerably, also becoming a point of sale with the opening of the showroom located in Rome in Via Giulio Salvadori – Montemario area, where it is possible to view and purchase immediately.

Our showroom and our warehouses have a very wide variety of articles available, ranging from the most basic and simple to those with very particular, refined and precious styles, which are also often characterised by manual work, just as it was in times gone by. Taking a step back in time, you can enjoy the ‘museum-like’ view of old machines, now replaced by some more modern ones, which are used today for the processing of some of our articles.

Since August 2020, our company has been providing purchasing assistance via the whatsapp platform. The customer, in this case, will be able to receive wherever he is in the world, high-resolution images of the products he is interested in, specific advice and purchase guidance from a qualified operator, be able to pay by bank transfer, Paypal, credit/debit cards or cash on delivery, and receive the goods at home within the next 36 hours for Italy and within the next 72 hours for the rest of the world.
